Read the article at the following link. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7318567
Write a comment about the main idea. What tools mentioned in the article do you use daily? How important was Albert Einstein's curiousity/ Scientific experimentation?
How was Einstein like Thomas Edison, who was quoted as saying "I haven't failed 10,00 times, I've found 10,00 ways that won't work."?
DO NOT be redundant. If someone else has said it already, then SAY SOMETHING ELSE!
This is Kolby Underwood and I think that the article is about how most everything that we use today it is thanks to Einstain. Without him being heard we wouldn't have life as we know it today. I do think that him and Benjamin Franklin have something in commen because they both discovers something that would change life as we knew
ReplyDeleteit.
I think that this article is talking about all the things that we use in life today that circle back around to Albert Einstein and how he made all these inventions and things.Things in this article I use daily are toothpaste, teleevision, cell phones and many other things. I think that the two men alike because they both didnt succeed every time that the tried to do something.
ReplyDeleteWell .. this article was VERY informative! I had NO idea Albert Einsten was responsible for so much of the technology & things around us. Tom has NOTHING on Einstein! To me , Albert did WAY more than Tom. I agree with Kolby 100% when he says they changed life as we know it though
ReplyDeleteAlbert Einstein's findings in science is turned out to be in what we all use in the current times like today. If albert Einstein would not have found out all of that stuff we would not have what we have today. I believe that Einstein was like Thomas Edison because Einstein probably failed a lot to but he eventually got it right and it payed off and I believe that you get more information when you fail rather when you get it right the first time.
ReplyDeleteAlbert Einsteins production of his papers gave the rest of the world for the many goods that we all now are familiar with. I also think that if he did live in this age he would do just as well because There wouldnt have been a person like him before to figure out what he did. He created many of the things that I use daily such as toothpaste and shaving cream. Albert and Thomas are similar in the way that they both went the extra mile to succede in what they were doing
ReplyDeleteThat with out Albert Einstein We wouldn't have television and telephone and the world would basicly look at the wall for fun or either go outside and we wouldn't even know if a bad storm was coming.
ReplyDeleteThe main idea of this article is to express the many things that Albert Einstein contributed into this modern day that we live in today. Einstein's curousity made him want to keep pushing forward and try something new when everything seem to fail. When compared to Thomas Edison they are very much alike, they put their mind's to it and they dont stop until it's done
ReplyDeleteAlbert Einstein is the reason we live the way we live if he had not lived when he did our lives would not be as simple as they are. Yes some of our lives are filled with drama so some people would not consider that in any way simple but I have to say that almost none of the drama would be started or resolved with out Einstein the due to the cell phone or computer. Now most people are saying that Edison is not as important but I don't think that's necessarily true because Edison sort of placed the bricks for Einstein to build on. Without either of these men our lives would not be like they are today and if these men came face to face i feel they would congratulate each other on their work.
ReplyDeleteI think that Albert Einstein was like Thomas Edison because they both creathed something important in our world today. I mean sure, it may not have looked the same back then, but still, it served that same purpose. Also, they both never gave up, even though they didn't didn't get it right in the first couple, or may than a couple, times. I also think that the article is sharing with us that not only is it okay to make mistakes but that you will most deffinatly learn from them. I also think that if they didn't event the things they did, we would be truly out of luck. I mean look at all the stuff we use now, all the technology. Were at home or wherever right now, blogging for school. I believe that none of that would have been possible without either of these men. I would also just like to say though, that I really agree with Grace.
ReplyDeleteI think the main idea of this article is that science is everywhere, from riding your bike to brushing your teeth its all science and Albert Einstein helped a great deal with all of his experimenting. Brushing my teeth, listening to music, and riding in the car all relates to one thing - Albert Einstein. These are all things I couldnt live without. Without his persistance we wouldn't have a lot of things , who knows when an alarm clock would have came in the world? I think Einsten is alot lik Thomas Edison because they both didnt fail, they just messed up a great deal of time. I also learned from this article its ok to not get things on the first time. Neither scientists had success on the first time it was their determination that made them succeed and even change the world !
ReplyDeleteEinstein's theories and papers helped create the basis for many commonly used items today including most electronic devices. While he did not invent the cell phone his discoveries were necessary for its development today. His creativity and curiosity was more important than actually experimenting but instead he used numbers and formulas. Einstein and Edison were alike because they were both very determined and they also believed in what they were trying to achieve. Without these two men our world could be a very differnt place!
ReplyDeleteHey this is Sydney Tilmon. I think that by listening to the quote and reading the article, you can come to the conclusion that neither of them are quitters. Yes, they have made many mistakes, but that never stopped them. Now, we have and use many thing that would have never existed if they had quit and just pushed it to the side.
ReplyDeleteEinstein and Edison were both determined and persistent they never gave up no matter how many times they failed. Even though Einstein did not actually invent the cell phone or the DVD it is because of him that we have it. He has saved many lives because of the medical things we have thanks to him. I use alot of the things daily and it would be very different if we didn't have them.
ReplyDeleteI think think this article is based on all the things that Albert Einstein help to create. Without him we would not have the things we have today. Without him we would not have the GPS or television. Then what are we going to do if we got lost or were bored. Einstien and Edison are then same because they both help to create thing that we use daily.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, Einstein was a remarkable scientist. He invented and contributed to plenty of electronics we use in present times. I've heard the well-known saying "curiosity killed the cat" tons of times. But in this case, Einstein curiosity payed off...BIG TIME. If it wasn't for his curiosity, things that we have came to know as daily essentials wouldn't work properly or wouldn't even exist. Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein are similar in the fact that they wasn't successful 100% of the time, but they wasn't discouraged. They never gave up and worked hard to become successful. After reading the article I can't even imagine what life would have had been like without Einstein and Edison discoveries and inventions.
ReplyDeleteI think the article is talking about how big Albert Einstein has impacted our everyday lives. Without him life would be very difficult we would not have the luxury of digital clock. Also we could not shave or brush our teeth if it wasn't for his creation of the formula to measure the size of molecules dissolved in liquids. Also because Einstein and Edison where both very relentless people also they both changed the world in a huge way. After reading this article i think that Albert Einstein is arguable the most important person in history.
ReplyDeleteI think that the article is talking about how Einstein has changed our lives. Without any of the things that he invented, our lives would be totally different. We would not have most of the electronical things that we have now if it wasn't for Einstein. I think his scientific experiments led him to creating all of these different things. I also think that Einstein and Edison are the same because both of them have tried different things and failed, but they never gave up. They went back and kept on trying until they finally got it.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I have always used Einstein in a joke. Now I see he has a part in my daily activites. Such as: waking up, traveling, and even brushing my teeth. As the article mentions, we don't realize einstein is apart of our most done routines! Einstein and Edison has both helped the world by showing their perserverance. So i commend them for making life a little easier.
ReplyDeleteBasically this article is about Albert Einstein and some of his inventions and how most of his inventions changed our lives. Without most of his inventions our lives would be very difficult, different, and weird. Both Einstein and Edison never gave up no matter what and thats what make our lives like it is now.
ReplyDeleteThis article is about science really and a guy name Albert Einstein;he has changed our whole lives by the way he invented/discovered things...he is a legend if he didnt discover these things life would suck. i think that Albert Einstein and other inventors had the same future mind set.
ReplyDeleteI think the main idea of this article is to explain to us that Albert Einstein came up with all these elctronic things that we use today. He changed our lives, because what if we couldn't turn on the tv and check the news to find out if traffic is backed up or not? Then we would go ahead and leave the house and we would be late getting to work or going to school. Albert Einstein changed our lives, and to be honest I really dont know Thomas Edison like that. But from the quote it seems like he was some sort of curious guy, and Albert Einstein was curious also, thats why we live the kind of life that we are living today.
ReplyDeleteThe main idea of this piece was basically stating that despite how inconvenient and unfair things may seem in life, it would be a whole lot worse without the inventions of Albert Einstein. One tool mentioned here that I use daily is a camera. Einsteins curiosity and unique way of thinking were probably the most important qualities to ever be gifted to a human being. Without him the world wouldn't be halfway as developed as it is. I believe Einstein and Edison were similar because both of them are hardly ever given enough credit for what they've done for this world.
ReplyDeletei think what this article means is that without enstien we would not have technology in this world to day. If enstien was still alive today i would thank him for all he has done he was and still is a brilliant man and we should thank him for was he discovered in the 20th century and this is what i think the article is about.
ReplyDeleteThis article is talking about Einstein and all his great inventions. These inventions are what we all use today like camera, TV, cellphone, and other electronic items. Albert Einstein was like Thomas Edison because he would keep trying intil it work and he would never give up.
